Religious Education Info

We look forward to sharing the faith with your child in the 2024-2025 school year! Our program continues to offer faithful catechesis to all our children in Kindergarten through 8th grades with regular practice in the sacraments and traditions of our Church. We are accepting registrations for our Summer Academy 2-week intensive and our year-long program that meets on Monday evenings during the school year. To register your child, please click on the appropriate link below, print the forms, complete, sign, and return to the Religious Education Office at the address below. Our 2024-2025 year long program classes take place in-person in the St. Paul School building (address is below). Kindergarten through 8th grades meet on Mondays from 6:00 – 7:15 pm, beginning on September 16th through mid April, 2025. Volunteers are needed! In an effort to keep our class sizes small, we are in need of catechists (teachers), aides, hall monitors and substitutes. Confirmation candidates and Honor Society students could earn their required service hours as aides, monitors, etc. We like to have a teacher’s assistant in every classroom to ensure that our students stay focused and get the personal attention they may need. Please prayerfully consider supporting our program in this way. Training sessions will take place during the spring and summer. This is also a great opportunity for you to learn more about your faith. There is no better way to learn about Christ than through the questions of a child!

For the safety of our children, all adult volunteers (18 years and older) are required to be fingerprinted for a criminal background check and attend a Virtus/Safe Environment session. Please call the Rel Ed office for details.

Summer Academy is a wonderful part our Religious Education Program. Our 2-week intensive is for 1st through 8th grades and meets Monday-Friday for 2 weeks during the summer (July 22 – August 2, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm) in the St. Paul School building at 250 James Street in Burlington.
Summer Academy classes then meet approximately 4 times throughout the school year (6:00-7:15 pm) on Tuesday evenings in October, November, February and March for lessons on prayer, Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. There are also sacramental preparation events for our 2nd and 8th grade students.
